Who we are
We are a divergent community, born of synchronous encounters, with one shared aim: to discover, observe and experience the comings and goings of life.
Finca El Péndulo is a holistic centre designed for retreats, wellbeing experiences and stays in nature. We bring together lodging, activity spaces, holistic services and time outdoors to make room for rest, clarity and personal growth.
We are a self-sustaining community: through stays and retreats we keep and grow this place as an accessible refuge for wellbeing and personal change.
Our story
It began with the birth of Fito
Finca El Péndulo was founded by Marina Melgarejo. After the death of her brother José Carlos, Marina came to the Finca and found a place that called her to make it something bigger. One morning she watched the birth of Fito, a light chestnut horse, and nothing was the same afterwards.
The first works were the stables and the renovation of the main tower, which now holds the volunteer quarters, the kitchen, reception and two guest rooms.
The Finca has kept growing and has always been under construction. From 2018 ceremonies began to be held here, and with no advertising the Finca started receiving more and more people: guests and volunteers looking for deep change.
As more people asked for a ceremonial space, building began on the Osho Hut in 2019: a round building of stone gathered on the Finca, with a palm roof and a marble floor. It started with no fixed plan: Marina went to the spot where she had seen Fito born and decided to dig a circle.
Little by little it became the most sacred space on the Finca, where many people have gone through deep change.
Today the Finca has more than 15 spaces, each with its own purpose.
